This Journal Is Now Friends Only

Photobucket

I don't really have specifications as to the kind of people I do or don't want on my flist. Friendships can obviously develop for all sorts of reasons! However, we might get along better if you:

*share common interests with me
*are on the left side of the political spectrum
*are able to at least politely scroll past the kind of long, tedious rambling I am sometimes prey to - and now you can't say I didn't warn you :P
*like to comment, for comments are shiny

I usually write about my life more than I write about any specific subject, academic or fandom-y. But you should still probably be aware that I'm a huge history nerd and absolutely passionate about the French Revolution. As far as the telly goes, I love Doctor Who, Torchwood, and Blackadder and occasionally post about those. I wouldn't describe myself as being active in any fandom - I sort of just lurk at the back of some of the main communities that deal with my interests. The notable exception is [livejournal.com profile] revolution_fr, which I mod. But then, 'French Revolution' isn't exactly a fandom. XD

I read a lot, watch quite a few movies, enjoy writing but am seldom able to motivate myself do it, and make icons whenever the urge strikes me.

Overall, I think I'm a relatively easy person to get along with; I'm not the sort to go around picking fights, looking to be offended, or anything like that. Well. As long as my favorite revolutionaries' postmortem honor isn't at stake. :P I kid. Sort of.

Anyway, yes. If you want to know anything else, just check my userinfo or ask me.

Sure! *Adds you* Have you heard of [livejournal.com profile] revolution_fr? I can never miss an opportunity to pimp my community, after all. ;)

Oh, and another thing - I was looking at your icons (I have a weird thing for looking at people's icon before I friend them. O.o; Don't ask), and I noticed that the second one was made by my friend [livejournal.com profile] maelicia. Usually on LJ when you use someone else's icons, you credit them in the icon's keywords or comment and ask permission from them beforehand. Since it looks like you're pretty new to LJ, I don't know if you knew that or not, but yeah. :3
